If you’ve been enjoying Major League Baseball’s wild and wacky start to its 2020 season, great! But lucky for you, there is a whole slate of must-bet games just waiting to get bet.
Here are some of the hottest angles to look out for and the best games to wager on!
ONLINE SPORTSBOOKS OFFER THE MOST COMPETITIVE BETTING LINES
July 30 – Cleveland Indians-Minnesota Twins: ALCS Preview?
In the AL Central, few would doubt that the hottest teams to keep an eye out for are the Indians and Twins. To start the season, the Twins have been as hot as magma.
Other than dropping game two of their opening series against the Chicago White Sox, the Twins have been on a tear. They’re tied for first place in runs scored with 33 runs and have outscored their opponents a margin of 33-20.
On the other hand, the Indians have played similarly well, which is evident from the MLB scores and odds. They smothered the Kansas City Royals in two out of three contests, and other than dropping their third game to close out their recent series against the White Sox, the Indians have rolled so far, due in large part to their pitching.
The Indians are leading the league in ERA and WHIP, the latter of which is a fancy way of saying they keep their opponents from making it on base.
Both teams, albeit different in their means of success so far, are worthy of a look, and if you want to get down on what could be a preview of the American League Championship Series, this is one to watch.
The line hasn’t dropped yet, but we really like the Twins to maintain their dominance at home in this one. The under is also worth looking at.
July 31 – Boston Red Sox-New York Yankees: Do The Sox’s Woes Continue Against Bombers?
Despite the departure of Mookie Betts, even the most impartial of baseball fans would concede the Red Sox would still be a highly competitive squad in MLB, let alone their division. Betts’ absence notwithstanding, most casual fans figured the Red Sox would find a way to hit the ball and score runs.
Betting on MLB Playoff Props
Well, so not so fast. After crushing the Baltimore Orioles in their season opener, the Red Sox would go on to drop three consecutive games to the Orioles and New York Mets, finally earning their second win of the season in a bases-loaded, bottom-of-the-ninth nailbiter to scrape by in a 6-5 win over the Mets.
That same night, the New York Yankees walloped the lowly Orioles 9-3. The Yanks are a respectable 3-1, but their numbers will not jump out at you.
To be fair, their opening contest was called in the sixth inning due to weather, but still, the Yanks have hardly blown anyone out of the water.
On the other hand, the Sox have been scoring runs, but their hitting hasn’t been as timely as they would hope.
Against the Yankees, the Sox have their work cut out for them. The Red Sox have the fourth-worst ERA in the league, though the Yankees aren’t much better, as they’re ninth worst.
The Red Sox need to sustain their momentum if they are going to shoot down the Yankees and get their World Series and American League hopes back in stride.
We really like the Red Sox in this contest and baseball bettors should love the over throughout this series.
